| Here we go starting a new year with the Sandston Go-Getters!
I would like to thank William Shook and family for doing a great job with the Legion. I look forward to working with the WOTM and the LOOM Board of Officers. We have some projects coming up soon: • Our first will be the 4th of July picnic from 4 - 11 pm. DJ will provide music. • July 12th Moose Legion Breakfast All-You-Can-Eat. Kids under 5 eat free. • On August 2nd we will have a PICNIC UNDER THE STARS from 5 - 11 pm. We are cooking up some Ribs and Chicken. We will have a DJ for music. • August 17th Moose Legion Breakfast. Sometimes we might come up with a function not in the Newsletter. Stop by the Lodge to see what projects we have going. Our next Moose Legion Meetings will be July 10th and August 14th. I LOOK FORWARD IN SEEING YOU THERE. I would like to thank Biff Johnson for fixing the riding mower. By the time this is published, we have had our Mother’s Day Breakfast, been to Vegas and back. I would like to thank all that helped on the Mother’s Day Breakfast (they know who they are and if you don’t, ask me I’ll tell you.) My opinion: If you do not come to any meetings in your Lodge your not fully inform on what’s going on. The board of officers are the ones in charge of your lodge, you voted them in. They look for the membership to guide them in the right direction. By coming to meetings you have the right to ask questions on the function of this Lodge. You have the right to vote what’s best for your Lodge. The officers are all ears to keep your lodge running. The biggest thing in any lodge is the lack of Volunteers. Out of all our members in our lodge we have 20 that keeps this Lodge going. Without them this Lodge would close down and that’s a fact. NOT GOOD. WE NEED YOU TO VOLUNTEER AND HELP, AND COME UP WITH IDEAS. The price of gas is high and the prices to keep your lodge open is high. Come to our meetings listen to what is going on in BINGO. Find out how much it cost to replace a compressor. Find out if we are making money on dinner. Find out what it cost to run your Lodge. Don’t get second hand information from the bar. The newsletter does not carry all the news. You need to come to your meetings. You have an opinion, we love to hear it. It’s your right to be heard and vote on matters at hand. The opinions are mine and only mine. Fraternally, Mike Bordonie |
